There was a recent release of a track from 4Minute (Korean Girl group that pretty much sucks) on the Kdrama God of Study OST.
I’ve never cared enough to know what’s happening with this group because, frankly, they’re crap and I’m not fond of that. But by a freak accident today, I listened to their featured track on the God of Study OST (drama airs January 4th) and I was pleasantly surprised AT FIRST, then overwhelmingly saddened after 1minute in.
The thing is, they aren’t usually told to sing these kinds of songs. 4Minute are the group that sing the ear-damaging-auto-tuned disaster songs. You know, the songs that really suck hard.
But this particular track isn’t 4Minute at all because it’s a Rock song. Or at least it has the Rock style to it.
Now, what saddens me is the fact that they don’t normally sing these kinds of song, because if you listen to it, they don’t sound all that bad at all~!!
If 4Miunute had debuted as a female rockband, and actually played their own instruments (which is another saddening fact) they would be at a WHOLE NEW LEVEL above the female Kpop groups that are out right now. No joke!
I mean, listen to Dreams Come True and say you don’t love it. Just imagine them playing the instrumental and rocking out hardcore, rather than prancing around to the fake-ass hip-hop crap they normally sing.
This song is just beautiful and ironically enough, 4Minute transforming into a female rock band is just one dream that will not come true for me…

On a side note, I’m quite interested in this drama. God of Study looks promising, so I’ll check it out later today when it’s available. :D
