And while we’re on the topic of great ballads, Monday Kiz have doused me with water, reinvigorating my admiration for fantastic slow songs.  Not that this one is that slow, but if it wasn’t for the explosive instrumentation, this song would have been just another ballad.  But no!  It’s got everything that describes my favorite variation of a ballad – dramatic, powerful and visceral.

I enjoy how it just blasts you in the face with the orchestration at the beginning.  It doesn’t lose it’s force at all from there; it shrouds its power during the verses but come the chorus and second half of this song, and things get seriously dynamic.

This song may have been released way back in May, but I’m just now listening to it and I’m sold.
