Comprised of So Hyang, Lee Young Hyun, and Park Jung Hyun (aka Lena Park) of recent “I Am a Singer” fame, Diva Project is exactly what it sounds like it is; three amazing and powerful vocalists showing off their talents together (or apart, depending on who you like more).

Their debut single, “Mermaid (인어공주)”, is a classic pop-ballad, with piano, sweeping strings, an unexpected R&B break, and over-the-top vocal acrobatics. Even though Ms. Park is the more recognized of the three, Ms. Lee and Ms. So killed it on this cut. So Hyang brought the house down at the climax and Lee Young Hyun was not far behind. Think Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston (before the alleged cocaine abuse) singing without abandon. If that isn’t enough for you, I can’t help you. I’ll be too busy lip-syncing to “Mermaid (인어공주) (R&B Ver.)”.
