So it seems everybody and their mother’s mothers is debuting a boy band this year. The latest entertainment company to jump on the bandwagon is Cube, who has seen varying success with BEAST, 4Minute, G.NA, and A Pink.
Now, they’re stepping it up a notch with the debut of their second boy band named BTOB (B-to-B). BTOB consists of seven members: Lee Chang Sub, Lim Hyunshik, Lee Minhyuk, Jung Ilhoon, Peniel Shin, Seo Eunkwang, and Yook Sungjae.
With the debut of BTOB also comes Cube’s recent announcement of their new sub-label, Cube DC. If you didn’t already know, labels tend to divvy up their businesses into sub categories, each one usually focusing on specific aspects of the entertainment business and styles.
“Cube DC has set out to bring “customized artist management” in the long run by fragmenting the world market and utilizing individualized promotion strategies for the various markets of the world.
Their first artist, BTOB, will emphasize the emotional aspects of K-Pop through mesmerizing vocals, beautiful melodies, and lyrics, to establish a new “global standard” in the K-Pop market, and showcase their distinct appeal.” — allkpop
BTOB is set for a March 21 debut.
