BIG BANG‘s leader, G-Dragon, released “One of a Kind” today ahead of his 2012 comeback album this fall. It’s a throwback to his work with TOP under the GD&TOP sub-unit, which for me is not a bad thing at all. Check it out!

Commentary:
Welp. I’m not really feeling the cornrows on G-Dragon, but then again when am I ever feeling any of his hair styling choices. I really liked his blonde during his ‘Heartbreaker‘ era, so I’m not thrown off at all by this yellow-ish shade on his head. It actually looks nice on him when it’s loose and moving like normal hair.
The music video is shot and set up in the classic BIG BANG pseudo-gangsta style a la GD&TOP, which I’m not entirely offended seeing today. Listening to the song, though, makes me wish TOP was here and they were at their sub-unit activities again, because I relate this musical style with them as a duo more than I do just G-Dragon, whose music is a lot more electronica based. Either way, I’m feeling this and I’m excited to hear the rest of his album. It’ll be a challenge to top his work in 2009, but if anything, we’re in for a treat nonetheless.

The video is pretty awesome. Dark humor and just plain craziness. I can’t get the song out of my head, but I don’t mind.
I like the song. I was a bit anxious, but it’s pretty good. Which makes me happy.
That…hair…urgh. I can’t even focus on the MV or song because his hair is so freaking ugly.
And Taeyang…even more ew.
Yeah, I’m not feeling Taeyang this year. He needs to shave his head, go back to dancing right, and be less annoying to look at.
^THIS
this song just stuck on my head the moment i listened to it, and now i can’t get rid of it >~< the lyric (korean) is fun, and it's indeed just for fun so i don't take the content seriously. as for the mv, it's like any other yg mv — well-shot, but nothing special, except for fans who love to interpret every, single, thing. as for the style, gd's hair is too yellow for me, and taeyang's… weird, but at least it's not as monstrous as "monster" mv.
all in all, i much much much more enjoy this song than his previous work, "heartbreaker".
